Maintenance Supervisor/Manager


Responsible for maintaining the plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.  Maintain open and reliable communications with co-workers on equipment operations, safety and operating status.


  • Pre-flight all production lines prior to start up.
  • Promote safe work practices in the plant i.e. lock-out procedures.
  • Work in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) regulations.
  • Carry out duties as specified by maintenance supervisor.
  • Complete all paperwork/reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in a timely manner.
  • Problem solve, analyze and identify waste areas and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with other departments and assist in continuous equipment efficiency.
  • Other duties as required.



  • Certified Millwright
  • Able to work shifts and adhere to the collective agreement.
  • Able to understand scheduling processes.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects on a timely basis.
  • Punctual, flexible-minded and organized.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems.
  • Certified in WHMIS/SDS program.
  • Understanding of basic electrical control circuits.
  • Experience in mechanical component rebuilding.
  • Experience in machinery installation & rigging.
  • Capable of heavy lifting and working at heights.
  • Food manufacturing experience an asset.
  • Experience in fabrication, machining & welding an asset.
  • Forklift driving certificate and/or experience an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP an asset.
