Overall Purpose of role:
Leading the HR function for ARYZTA Ireland and a member of the ARYZTA Ireland Management team, the HR Director will have a deep understanding of the business strategy and align HR Strategy accordingly.  He/she will build a HR partnership with the leaders and employees, providing pragmatic & best in class HR support, coaching and guidance to the business. The role offers great exposure to change management, within a highly dynamic commercial business.  A broad HR role encompassing, but not limited to Talent Management, Employee Relations, Engagement, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.

 

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the execution of HR strategies and programs that support the business. 
  • Proactively provide advice and guidance on, and manage employee relations issues such as disciplinary and grievance, absence, performance management, and other key HR areas including recruitment, attrition, restructuring, redundancy and redeployment.
  • Driving the Employee Engagement and working with managers and employees to build a positive and engaging work culture aligning people decisions with core values.
  • Design and drive change management and organisational design programmes.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives that support business strategy within the business units.
  • Develop and deliver overall talent acquisition solutions including work force planning, attraction, on-boarding and retention.
  • Partner, consult, and advise senior leaders on talent and people topics including compensation, retention, performance, and talent development.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and plan, manage & expedite projects.
  • Undertake management development activities by coaching, influencing and sharing knowledge to increase manager’s abilities to manage their teams.
  • Support and mentor the HR team to assist with development and drive best practices. 
  • Utilise Employee Engagement Data to develop specific plans to positively impact employee engagement drivers.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR management reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

Role will be Hybrid but part-time / flexible working arrangements can be considered.

Education & Experience:

  • 7 year’s + relevant HR experience.  Previous experience in Manufacturing, FMCG or Retail sector is preferable.
  • Educated to a minimum of degree level, CIPD qualification is essential.
  • Proficient working knowledge of all aspects of human resources, including but not limited to compensation and benefits, employee relations, employment law, leadership and talent management, training and HRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in human resources principles across multiple business groups with different business models, challenges and requirements.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic business, undergoing significant change is essential for the success of this role.
  • A strong commercial mind set is imperative. 
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office.  
  • The ideal candidate will display an energy and ambition to succeed and will be capable of building strong relationships both internally within the business and with external contacts. 
  • They will have the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner with unquestionable integrity.
  • Strong leadership & communication skills are essential as is the ability to work within a fluid, fast paced environment.  The person should have high levels of organisation skills, attention to detail and be extremely process driven.
