Facilities/PM Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Facilities/PM Electrical Technician (6 Month Contract)

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased Maintenance Technician to join the team based in Grange Castle initially on a 6 month Contract.  

 

Candidates must have completed a recognised standards based apprenticeship in an electrical craft.  To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate competency in an alternative craft discipline supported by knowledge, skills and qualifications to complete tasks safely and competently on assets in an operational environment. You will demonstrate experience of fault finding, trouble shooting and issue resolution in a high speed automated environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical controls, wiring and lighting 
  • General electrical maintenance and for repairing and replacing electrical wiring of fixtures (single and 3 Phase).
  • Must have knowledge of emergency lighting regulations and procedures. 
  • P.A.T testing across the bakery
  • Carry out the maintenance of production process equipment, to include: planned/scheduled/predictive maintenance tasks and to carry out equipment surveys, e.g. Thermal Imaging 
  • Responsible for prioritising work activities to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation.
  • Promote, develop and maintain the highest standards in terms of health, safety and the environment.
  • Working with computer maintenance management systems (PEMAC/SAP) as a system of record for all maintenance tasks and activities, manage records and documentation and demonstrate compliance.
  • Provide Shift cover as required
  • Responsible for operating, maintaining and continuous improvement of systems, assets and plant to achieve maximum availability and equipment reliability.
  • Review planned preventative maintenance procedures to maximise their efficiency and effectiveness

 

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Electrical background, with 5+ years post qualification and experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Demonstrable cross skilling competencies and experience
  • Flexible hands on approach.
  • Trades/Diploma qualifications.
  • CMMS (PEMAC/SAP/Maximo) and MS Office experience is essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Available for call out duties and / or overtime when required.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools 
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Systems (e g. BRC) is an advantage
  • Required to work over 7 days depending on line availability
